NOTE: The dipstick is longer than the dipstick tube. Dipstick will not completely enter the tube. YOU SIMPLY INSERT THE DIPSTICK UNTIL IT BOTTOMS OUT, THEN TAKE YOUR
READING. DO NOT FORCE THE DIPSTICK PAST THE STOPPING POINT.
Not for Metris, which does not have a fill tube/dipstick tube. Fluid level on the Metris may be checked electronically, or by the "overflow tube" method

The transmission dipstick is not meant to remain in vehicle during regular operation. It is strictly a service tool and is to be removed each time after usage.
