The red/orange grommet is furnished with the unit.
This is a small but, critical component, as it is important to not have the
crankcase vapors freeze. (water vapor is present) Oil and water
emulsification forms when vapors come in contact with cooler temperatures, freeze and i ce crystals can then easily erode the turbocharger intake blades. Sounds very strange but, it is true.

Intake Air Temperature Sensor 2002 & LATER
This is a relatively common failure item, which can cause the engine to go into limp mode.
This sensor is often oil soaked from vapors in the charged air stream .
This is caused by oil leakage from the turbocharger shaft seals.
Carrying a spare sensor is suggested, as they are inexpensive and always seem to fail in the middle of nowhere.
