1. DO NOT INSTALL IMMEDIATELY
2. INSURE THAT THE IGNITION IS IN THE OFF POSITION
3. PLUG IN THE ACTUATOR ELECTRICAL PORT FIRST
4. TURN KEY TO THE ON POSITION -- DO NOT START THE VEHICLE
5. THE ARM ON THE ACTUATOR WILL SELF-ADJUST TO THE MEMORY OF THE TURBO ON THE VEHICLE
6. ONCE THE ARM IS SET YOU, MAY TURN THE KEY TO THE OFF POSITION
7. NOW INSTALL THE ACTUATOR ON THE TURBO AND, YOU ARE ALL SET
8. IMPORTANT NOTE: IF THE NEW ACTUATOR ARM IS NOT MOVING, THE VANES ON THE TURBO ARE STICKING AND YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE THE TURBOCHARGER. OTHERWISE THE NEW ACTUATOR WILL QUICKLY BURN OUT, AS DID YOUR PREVIOUS ACTUATOR.
Before installing a new actuator, insure that the turbocharger vane linkage moves freely. Failure to do so will cause the new actuator to quickly burn out. (NO WARRANTY REPLACEMENT FOR THIS). A stuck vane linkage is usually the reason that these actuators burn out in the first place.
