Always install new injectors with new lower seal rings and new retaining screws. Failure to do so will cause injector leaks and further costly repairs.
1. Disassemble the Injector Top: Use the included 29mm slotted injector wrench from the kit to unscrew and remove the upper cap/solenoid portion of the stuck injector. Caution: When removing the cap, watch out for tiny internal components (like a small spring and internal diaphragm/plate) that can pop out or get lost if the injector internals are exposed.
2. Access the Core: Use the included 10mm hex tamper bit to remove or loosen the inner core/center piece of the injector as required to anchor the puller.
3. Position the Support Ring & Puller: Place the support ring over the injector hole/cam cover area to protect the cylinder head surface and distribute the pulling force evenly.
4. Engage the Puller Tool: Thread the main puller tool securely into the threaded body/internal portion of the injector left in the cylinder head.
5. Extract the Nozzle: Turn or crank the mechanical puller mechanism against the support ring to pull the seized lower body and nozzle straight up and out of the bore. |
