These are manufactured by Borg Warner, the OEM supplier to Mercedes Benz. This is the identical unit as those sold at a franchise dealer.
The fan clutch for the 2010 and later engines has an electrically actuated clutch. The earlier 2007-2009 models have a centrifugally actuated declutching mechanism.
Drives only the radiator cooling fan and ONLY on those models that DO NOT have DUAL A/C (Roof mounted A/C) with two A/C compressors. If you have dual A/C, see the auxiliary belt shown below.
This is a very short belt compared to the main serpentine belt. If you have an auxiliary alternator (two alternators), that belt is shown below.
