VW DISCONTINUED ALL DIPSTICKS AND DIPSTICK TUBES MANY YEARS AGO.
PROCEDURE:
With vehicle sitting level and the engine running, selector lever in
park,
fluid warm, at 95-113°F/35-45°C, the fluid should be half way between
the two
dots. As the transmission temperature increases, the fluid level will
rise, as well. Correct level at any time, should be between the upper
and lower dots. If below the lower dot, add fluid. If above the upper
dot, you must drain some fluid out of the pan.
This kit includes the dipstick tube, the dipstick, and the O-ring for
the tube base.
Installation is not difficult but, it is a little dirty, greasy and
somewhat time consuming. The dipstick that we offer now has a
yellow loop on the end, rather than a "T" handle.
