These are the original NGK plugs - 7.0 Volt Ceramic Core Glow Plug and are ONLY to be used with the Glow Plug Control Unit shown below.

They are the same exact plug sold at a Mercedes dealer.

These glow plugs are also used for other Mercedes 3.0L V6 diesel engines (from June 15, 2012 (engine number 41330714 and later).

Also for Mercedes Benz Non-Sprinter vehicles 2007-2018 using the ceramic core glow plugs.

Do not try to remove glow plugs from a cold engine. Before attempting to remove any glow plugs, start the engine and allow it to reach operating temperature. Failure to do so will probably result in shearing a glow plug off in the aluminum cylinder head. Before installing any new glow plug, coat the new glow plug threads with a good quality anti-seize compound, to facilitate easier removal in the future.
